1st Grade Supply List—Miss Siebert’s Class
· 1 pair scissors—use permanent marker to write your child’s name or initials on the handle or blade.
· 1 small (6x9) school box—Write your child’s name on the front or top.
· 1 large pink eraser
· 1 pkg. of eraser tips
· 1 pkg. #2 yellow pencils—only yellow, please. Don’t label each pencil individually.
· Crayons, 16-24 count—1st graders go through these fast! Please send at least 2 boxes. Please no specialty (scented, glitter, etc.) crayons, or boxes of more than 24.
· 4 glue sticks
· 2 boxes of tissues
· 3 spiral bound notebooks— (wide ruled, 70 sheets) Please place your child’s name on upper left corner.
· 1” 3-ring binder—No larger please. The plain solid ones work best, but others are fine. Write your child’s
name on the inside upper left corner.
· 3 folders with prongs—Solid colors are preferred.
· 1 pkg. disinfecting wipes (optional)
· 1 bottle hand sanitizer (optional)
Backpack Information:
· Choose one that is a manageable size for your child, but still big enough to carry at least a folder and library
book.
· No wheels, please!
· Be sure to put your child’s name in clear, large letters across the top and/or front.
About the supplies:
· Some children have a hard time leaving their beautiful, brand-new supplies at school. Please make sure your
child understands the supplies will be left at school. (That way I don’t have to be the one to break the sad
news.)
· Since school supplies are on sale right now, it is a great time to buy extras to keep at home, or in case
replacements are necessary. Encourage your child to become the great artist/author they are capable of
becoming by providing some of these beautiful “tools” at home.
